04/24/2019. What a great place! We really enjoyed staying at Cala Luna, and glad we switched our itinerary to Tamarindo. The resort was about a 15-20 minute walk / 5 minute bike ride (they had free bikes available to use) to the main part of town (cab was $6-$8), which was perfect because it was quiet and felt very private, which is what we were looking for.
